Sheet piling is used as a technique for soil retention and supporting excavations. Sheet piling retains soil by steel sections with interlocking joints on the edges and they can be used as a time saver to meet the project requirements. Sheet piles can be installed into the ground with vibratory methods and they can be extracted to be used in another location. They can be supported by struts or ground anchors to safely reach deeper excavation levels. Sheet piles are also effective by means of water tightness and they provide better and safer working environments.
